Terre Maritime Chardonnay

Garagiste Terre Maritime Chardonnay is the winery's leading Chardonnay.

The fruit is drawn from just a few rows of vines high on the Merricks Grove vineyard. This patch is home to brown soils, a stark contrast to the red soils that are more common in the area.

These vines also have a slight easterly aspect, meaning they remain cooler and more sheltered. The fruit produced is smaller in size, but more distinctive in personality.

This parcel of fruit is kept separate in the winery. It is fermented and matured in a single 500 litre French oak puncheon.

Pale straw, Garagiste Terre Maritime Chardonnay is powerful and textural without sacrificing finesse. It has vibrant fruit flavours, saline characters and length.

A very limited release. Cellaring potential is five years.
